"I am my brother's keeper"
Hello Brethren,
I hope everyone is doing fine. Very quick update on myself. For the last 2 years I have been busy doing nothing. Nothing for the Lord I mean. Some how, I became "Spriritually idle". I can not entirely blame the enemy of my soul for this. We as Chrisitians have been given straight forward instruction on what to do, so that our spiritual well doesn't run dry. Romans 12:2 says:
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Now if I've shocked and offended you the Bible say to confess our faults one to another, and PRAY for one another, that ye may be healed (James 5:16). I've meant to post this e-mail I wrote last month about an ordeal that happened to me just before Christmas. I e-mailed it to almost everyone I know. I hope it inspires you to make 2010 the start of the best year both in the natural, and especially in the spiritual. I spoke with Pastor Andre moments before posting this, and we both concluded that 2010 is a year for spiritual growth. May the love and peace of Christ be with you all.
Brother Terry Mlodzianowski. Here is the e-mail:
Hello all it's me, Terry Mlodzianowski.
I am Bcc'ing this to almost everyone in my address book. If I haven't been in touch with you for years, I appologize. To those who no longer wish to stay in touch with me for any reason, just reply to me with a quick e-mail saying delete me. No hard feelings, I wish you well, everyday of your life.
In 2010, I plan to clean out my address book and will be e-mailing some of you to see if you are still alive and to ask what you are up to.
I would just like to share a little testimony of what happened to me
yesterday at 2 Staples stores. I was there for 5 hours trying to create a custom calendar in time for Christmas. The first store I was at I was there for 2 hours and then I left. Long story short, I was using their computer and had to load pictures from a CD. Every time I got to March or April, the computer would crash or the network would be bogged down. After 5-6 times of doing the same work the computer finally was working and I was able to make my calendars which will be ready for tomorrow. To be polite because of the holidays, the staff at the first store (including the computer department
associate) was incompetent.
What's the point of my story? I am 39 years old, will be 40 in May in 2010. I have had enough of things "not working". People, companies, products, governments. Back in 2006, I was making the most money in my life, during the boom. I had 3 raises in 3 months. However, companies were literally throwing money at warm bodies at that time just to hold down the floor and to prevent looting. Burger flippers were making $15 an hour. No offense to burger flippers. The hard workers (which I consider myself as one) suffered for having to pick up the slack from the warm bodies hired.
People, I would just like to encourage everyone to make 2010 a spectacular year. If we all gave 90% of our best at work, our entire society would be better off. Why 90% not 100%? We all know people who give 110% at work. Then they come home, zombie like, bringing work and their problems with them. Then they usually "crash" for a day or two on the weekend or get sick. So you take 110% subtract the 1 day they are useless (1/7 = 14%) and you get 96%, 82% if you recoup for 2 days. So why not give 90% of yourself to your job (Don't slack off 10% just do your best) and keep a little reserve for your family and loved ones. I'm no counsellor or psychiatrist, I just see
things differently from time to time. I myself have joined a gym this week. There was a deal where I could join for $0 down and I don't pay my first month until January. The gym is located at the mall where I work part time. So it was a no-brainer to join. I usually tell people if they are going to make a New Year's resolution, wait till Feb 1st. Less pressure, and you can use all of January to prepare yourself, which might be necessary if you are planning to quit a habit you have been doing for a long time. Every month I plan to make a positive change. This month I started with switching to whole wheat & whole grain bread, from white. If you ever watched Dr Oz,
he said something will not forget when it comes to diet changes. "Keep telling your body that the healthier alternative doesn't taste bad, but different." Switching breads isn't hard, but come January I will quit eating all "added" sugar to my diet. I saw a documentary on sugar, and in it they said that white sugar should be classified as a drug, from all the processing done to it.
Well, I've rambled long enough, May God bless you all during the holidays and throughout 2010.
Terry M.
